SUSTAINABILITY
Shaping a Sustainable Future with Every Log
At Hyne Group, our commitment to sustainability is a cornerstone of our legacy and future.
Legacy of sustainability
Building on the visionary efforts of Hyne Timber’s founder, R.M. Hyne, who championed forest replanting and established Queensland's first Department of Forestry in 1889, we continue to uphold and advance these principles with unwavering dedication.
No waste
We employ innovative processes to maximise every log’s potential, ensuring that no resource is wasted. At Hyne Group, we strive to deliver high-quality products that meet diverse industry needs while promoting environmental responsibility.
Culture of collaboration
Through our holistic approach and sustainable practices, we transform timber into opportunities for excellence, fostering a culture of collaboration and driving long-term success for a better future.
Our sustainability agenda remains stronger than ever.
Australian PEFC certified plantations
We ensure that every log we use is responsibly sourced from Australian PEFC certified plantations, backed by full Chain-of-Custody certification.
This commitment guarantees that for every pine tree harvested, another is planted, enabling a cycle where each tree sequesters atmospheric carbon long-term. Remarkably, the amount of timber used in an average Australian home is replenished in our plantations every 150 seconds.
